Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.
When I was in eighth grade i had a health teacher who i got along very well with. I know I cant say names, but for the sake of the story lets call him.... B. Clements. no no, Brenden C. But me and him had VERY similar personalities. It was almost like we were related or something. He acted just like my father. There is a reason for that, but as I said, I am not going to mention names. But he really did act JUST LIKE my dad. ;) Also in the past Ive had some teachers I do not get along with. In second grade I had a teacher who just didnt understand me. Like on this spelling test we had, i studied the words really hard and I knew them all. One of the words was the word "breath". I knew it by heart. But during the test, she pronounced the word "breathe" instead of "breath" and I was horrified! I didnt know what to do so I wrote down both words. When we got the tests back, I was shocked to learn she had marked it wrong and circled the word "breath"! SOOO not my fault! I tried to explain what happened but would she litsen? Nooooooooooooo not she. So teachers personalities have a really big impact on how well the student learns.
