Halloween Costume...

Describe your best or worst Halloween costume ever. Use lots of details and explain why it was so awesome or lame.

Last year i had a really LAME costume. I was a witch, which is not very original in the first place, and it was a stupid costume besides. I had a tiny little pointed black hat, a black school shirt some black shorts and black boots. SOOOOOOOOO boring.

The only even partly somewhat exciting thing about my costume was that i took some black face paint and made a star around my eye. it helped a little. although when i washed it off that night, one of my eyebrows was really black cuz the paint wouldnt come off. So my eyebrows looked retarded.

So the reason my costume was so lame is because it was a boring typical idea and the costume was so simple that it wasnt cool at all.

Top Ten Teen Books

The only one I have read is Breaking Dawn. I actually only skimmed through it. but i got the main idea. I guess it should be in the top ten thing. Alot of people are pretty much obsessed with the twilight series. Just so you know I AM NOT. My mother is. But not me.

I guess i liked it. But people made way too big a deal about it. I only read the series so that I would know what everyone was talking about. It had a pretty interesting story. I think i would have liked it better if people hadnt been like "oh my gosh Twilight is the most amazing thing ever you have to read it!" It was too big of a buildup. But like I said, it should be in the top ten becuz it was so widely read by people. And Stephanie Mayer is a good writer too. good for her, and good for all the other top ten books, but I havent ever even heard of all of them except Breaking Dawn. I guess im not a good example of a typical teenager.

Edgar Allen Poe :(

It seems like reading Edgar Allan Poe stories around Halloween is a rite of passage for students in English classes. He wrote poems such as "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee" and stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", etc.If you have read Poe stories before, which ones have you read and what do you remember of them? Did you like them? How scary/creepy were they? Share your memories of you or teachers reading the works of Edgar Allan Poe.If you have not read Poe or don't remember, describe to me what you expect from a classic horror writer? What kinds of stories do you think we'll be reading? Have you ever read scary stories?

last year we were supposed to read one of his stories. it was something about a man and he had to stay in this place for a really long time and then this person like, died or something. then he left before it was over by like one day. Maybe that wasnt even Edgar Alen Poe. Yah i think that was somebody else. But Im sure iver read SOMETHING of his.

I tried to read his stuff once. i really did. But i just didnt really get it. I think i was supposed to be like really scared, but i wasnt. I think im missing something here. Or maybe im just really brave.... jk. Im really not. at all.

So i think I would rather not read his stories. The raven i think we were supposed to read like 3 years ago for class, but I didnt relly understand, and what i DID understand, was really stupid. There was like this talking raven sitting on a wall and saying nevermore over and over? whoopdee doo. So i think thats all i have to say. i hope i made my point.
